Cool & Useful Easter Basket Ideas For Teens

Easter Basket Ideas for Kids

Easter basket ideas for teens?  What?  I literally found out today that Easter is Sunday.

Easter baskets are usually super important this time of year and it makes me sad thinking that I haven’t even planned what the basket is going to look like!

Easter is going to come late this year.  I don’t want to throw together random things that I can find on Amazon or Target, so here are my picks for my Better Late Than Never Easter Basket Ideas for Teens!

EASTER BASKET IDEAS FOR TEENS

My boys are 12 and 14 years old, and I can honestly say that they are not in to the same basket goodies that they used to be in to.

BASKET IDEAS

Back in the day, I would purchase a basket that best represented each of their personalities, be it their favorite superhero, sport of the moment, or simply color.  I didn’t like to purchase the traditional Easter basket as they are rendered useless after the 24 hour holiday period.  My Easter basket choices are reusable – perfect for collecting LEGO toys, crayons, Matchbox cars, etc.

NOW, I look for either a gym bag, backpack or plastic bin that can be reused for something organization-related.

STUFFERS

Candy

We always add candy to the basket BUT now it is more in tune with what they like as opposed to what’s on the shelves at the store.  My older one LOVES Hershey milk chocolate nuggets, which makes it super easy for us.  One bag of minis and we’re good to go.

My little one is a Snickers or a cookie kid, so we decide on which is best at the time and we can check that item off our list.

Gift Cards

I am finally desensitizing myself from the fact that the boys do not want toys.  They are too old for them.  They want gift cards.  Tweens look forward to gaming gift cards, and teens add clothing store gift cards to the list.  Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts gift cards are a great option as well.

Clothing

My Easter basket budget is not HUGE, but I like to add something fashion-related to it.  Whether it is Rip N Dip socks or t-shirt, Champion or Adidas baseball cap, or in the case of my little one – the perfect baseball sleeve.

Skincare

For both boys and girls, I would recommend body spray, hair products, and skincare.  I was happily surprised that my boys like bath bombs, so I jumped on the opportunity to get them something that I love as well!

What other items would you recommend for as Easter basket ideas for teens?  I’d love to know!

  1. Such a great list.
As they get older, I find it hard to find little things to put in their baskets. This year it seems harder and I don’t want to overload them on sugar since we are all stuck at home together.
